Six core services, all carried out by time-served stonemasons using breathable, conservation-approved materials. Every job starts with a free survey and a fixed written quote.
Traditional, breathable lime pointing that protects walls from damp and matches the original joint — never damaging hard cement. Cement pointing seals moisture into soft sandstone and pushes it out through the face of the stone; lime lets the wall breathe as it was built to.

Cracked, spalled or eroded stone cut out and repaired with matched sandstone indents and lime-based mortars. We repair only what needs repairing — a good survey saves you money before any tools come out.
Sympathetic, conservation-grade restoration that preserves the beauty and integrity of period stonework — from a single weathered bay window to a full tenement elevation.

Badly decayed stone replaced with hand-matched sandstone — colour and texture matched to blend in seamlessly. Where the stone is too far gone to repair, replacing it properly costs less than doing it twice.
Gentle façade cleaning that lifts decades of soot, algae and pollution without harming the stone surface. Aggressive grit blasting removes the stone's protective skin — we never use it on traditional sandstone.

Chimney rebuilds and repointing, plus lintel and cill repair or replacement — from garden walls to gable ends. Failed lintels and open chimney heads are two of the most common causes of internal damp we're called out to.
That's what the free survey is for. We'll look at the stone, tell you plainly what needs doing — and what doesn't — then put it in writing at a fixed price.
