Service 01 · Lime pointing
Crumbling or cement pointing raked out by hand and repointed in lime mortar, not cement. Cement pointing holds water in soft sandstone and pushes it out through the face of the stone. Lime lets the wall dry the way it was built to.
Service 02 · Stone repair
Crumbling, cracked or eroded sandstone repaired with matching repair mortar or new stone indents. We repair only what needs repairing, and a good survey saves you money before any tools come out.
Service 03 · Stone replacement
Where a stone is too far gone to repair, we cut it out and replace it with new sandstone matched in colour and texture. Replacing it properly costs less than doing it twice.
Service 04 · Chimney repairs
Chimney repointing in lime, loose copes, cracked stacks, rebuilds and chimney lowering, plus lintel and sill repair or replacement. Failed lintels and open chimney joints are two of the most common causes of damp we are called out to.
Service 05 · Stone cleaning
Gentle cleaning that lifts soot, algae and staining off sandstone without harming the stone. Blasting removes the hard outer face of the stone, so we never use it on sandstone.
